Namaste is primarily a term of respect and is widely known to mean "I bow to You", meaning the light in me honours the light in you.  In sacred scriptures Namaste, Namastung or Namastvung is referenced as a salutation to the Primal Being, followed by an attribute in respect of a specific quality of the Creator.  The term Namaste is often used to close a yoga session and is often accompanied with a deep bow placing both hands in prayer over the heart chakra.  Positive energy emanates creating an auric field of spiritual power.
